Across the world, in Southeast Asia, there is an archipelago, Indonesia, this country is the fourth most populous and the second most diverse country in the world. Here we can find great species such as the tiger, rhinoceros, orangutan, elephant, and leopard, Indonesia was covered with large forests, but due to human activity, these are disappearing.
The palm oil industry is devastating the forests and the animals that live in them, they die burned, beaten, and often they are taken to the illegal market. The Sumatran orangutan is the one most endangered and the Bornean orangutan is approaching to this state.Their habitat is being devastated, every day thousands of hectares are destroyed, for lack of food they are forced to get closer to human villages, people are ignorant, and many times beat them or even kill them because they fear them.
If we do nothing they probably disappear. Many people are unaware that this is happening or less know what is palm oil, this oil is present in most foods, toiletries, brands such as Unilever, P & G, Nestle, Loreal, etc. In a country so far away, we can only disclose this fact and do everything possible not to use these products also we can make donations to organizations that are in Indonesia helping to the animals in danger.

I really admire to Jane Goodall, she is a english woman of 80 years old. She is considered the world's foremost  expert on chimpanzees she also is an activist and naturist. Jane has worked extensively on conservation and animal welfare issues. She has been dedicated to promoting a style life sustainable in all the planet.

The results of his extensive field research revolutionized the scientific community and fascinated the world by National Geographic documentaries, among others. His perseverance, intuition, empathy and observation allowed to throw light on the hitherto unknown world of chimpanzees, revealing his instrumental behavior, social structure, foraging, hunting, war between groups, altruism, dominance, cannibalism, foster care and adoption, including many other aspects.

Her work has been crucial not only to disseminate knowledge about chimpanzees and other species, but also to generate empathy and strengthen their protection and the protection of their ecosystems, in addition to inviting us to reflect on our own specie and promote a life style more  sustainable in our society.

She has been considered one of the women scientists with most impact in the twentieth century. The documentary on his life and work, "Jane's Journey", has won the "Best Green Film" award at the Berlin GreenFilmFest and was shortlisted among the Oscar nominees for Best Documentary 2012

The first time I heard about Jane, was in a documentary called Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees.

Actually, there are many countries I'd visit. But the one that strikes me is Brazil, for a simple reason: there are different ecosystems, for example, the closed Atlantic Forest and the Amazon jungle, this rainforest has the highest biodiversity in the world. There are four million species plants and animals approximately. There are animals like pumas, jaguars, opossums, ocelots, vinegar foxes, foxes, bears, coyameles, anteaters, tapirs , and armadillos. Brazil also has many indigenous peoples that preserve their cultures, but have unfortunately seen its territory minimized after successive invasions, expulsions and usurpations at the hands of the government, logging companies, cattle ranches and large plantations. Just as with the Mapuche people in our country. If I had the opportunity to visit this country I would like to know the Amazon jungle, and visit the indigenous peoples that still resisting. In the best case, I would love to work there, in the conservation and study of species.

When I left school, I was still unsure of choose the veterinary carreer. It liked me a lot, but many people told me it was a carreer without future, that I would be poor and that kind of things. I thought about it a whole year, because I had another options too, for example, agronomy, forestry engineering and geology, and I could make more money. But it was not what I really wanted, I've always loved animals and have always wanted to dedicate myself to the conservation of species, so when I had to do my list preferences, veterinary career was the only that I inscribed. Since I came to college I'm pretty sure that my decision was right and I am very happy I chose this university, although it is sometimes difficult, it is worth. I want to dedicate the rest of my life to conservation medicine.
