I really admire to Jane Goodall, she is a english woman of 80 years old. She is considered the world's foremost expert on chimpanzees she also is an activist and naturist. Jane has worked extensively on conservation and animal welfare issues. She has been dedicated to promoting a style life sustainable in all the planet.
The results of his extensive field research revolutionized the scientific community and fascinated the world by National Geographic documentaries, among others. His perseverance, intuition, empathy and observation allowed to throw light on the hitherto unknown world of chimpanzees, revealing his instrumental behavior, social structure, foraging, hunting, war between groups, altruism, dominance, cannibalism, foster care and adoption, including many other aspects.
Her work has been crucial not only to disseminate knowledge about chimpanzees and other species, but also to generate empathy and strengthen their protection and the protection of their ecosystems, in addition to inviting us to reflect on our own specie and promote a life style more sustainable in our society.
She has been considered one of the women scientists with most impact in the twentieth century. The documentary on his life and work, "Jane's Journey", has won the "Best Green Film" award at the Berlin GreenFilmFest and was shortlisted among the Oscar nominees for Best Documentary 2012
The first time I heard about Jane, was in a documentary called Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees.
